The Beatles - Stan Cuesta- French-Language Book

Another book about the Beatles! Aren't you tired of it? So, already: no. And what's more, this one is different.

Because, for once, a work examines, illuminates and evaluates the complete discography of the Beatles, but also of their four solo members after the separation - even if they never stop crossing paths! - till today. A prodigious work, which we have never finished exploring. Nearly 150 albums, collected in 120 entries: official studio and concert records, compilations, expanded reissues, unreleased box sets, tributes, etc. All superbly illustrated by a multitude of pockets. This book is an opportunity to rediscover certain classics, to discover others a little hastily neglected when they were released, to overturn certain preconceived ideas but also, when necessary, to call a spade a spade: yes, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr made bad records, you'll know which ones and why. Everything is divided into chapters covering the six decades covered by this plethoric and - often - brilliant discography: the flamboyant sixties, the seventies well started and badly ended, the difficult eighties, the 1990s and the apotheosis of nostalgia, and finally the 21st century, an astonishing era where Paul and Ringo never stop giving concerts and recording albums, sometimes very good! Because if the separation of the Beatles in April 1970 had sealed the fate of the sixties, if the assassination of John Lennon in December 1980 had definitively killed the dream and if the death of George Harrison in November 2001 seemed to have closed the affair, the story goes on and on. Who would have bet on a new youth of McCartney in the 21st century?
