Iggy Pop - Conversation Avec Christophe Goffette (Book)
One of rock's last great icons and truly untamed performers, Iggy has remained wild, rejecting complacency and living up to his “Iguana” nickname. Respected by generations of musicians for more than half a century as the godfather of punk, he has continually transcended his own legend, exposing himself literally and figuratively to renew his mythology and his rich, flamboyant discography.
France has long loved Iggy and supported him through difficult periods. He has returned that affection, becoming an increasingly devoted admirer of French culture. Having sung Gainsbourg, Brassens, Piaf and even Prévert, he celebrates his bond with French audiences in May 2022 with his longest tour of the country: 13 dates across its regions.
In the absence of an autobiography, this collection of interviews fills a significant gap in books about an artist who is difficult to approach. The interviewer spoke with him around ten times over 30 years. These detailed conversations cover his career and turbulent life, tracing changes in his outlook. Discographical, biographical and performance references provide context.

He is also a translator, screenwriter, producer, artistic director, record label and rock radio owner, and director. He translated and introduced the monumental Tout Bowie (Nouveau Monde éditions).
