Heritage Audio P-DI-2 – Passive 2-channel Vintage-style Direct Box with Ground Lift, -15dB Pad, and Thru Outputs

Heritage Audio is proud to introduce the P DI 2, dual channel high quality custom-made transformer-equipped passive D.I. box for exceptional professional studio recording, as well as live use.

A DESIGN THAT HAS BEEN 15 YEARS IN THE MAKING

While passive DI boxes are often seen as dongles or adapters, we prefer to see them as a storefront display window: your goods might be the best available but you need a glass that is clean, transparent and unscratched so your goods can shine and be appreciated. The less you notice it, the better. That is why we’ve decided to create our own DI boxes based on 15 years of R&D, tests, failures and successes.

It would have been impossible to deliver the superior clean passive design of the P DI 2 if we hadn’t already mastered transparent passive signal handling with our R.A.M monitor controller series, specifically with the Baby R.A.M, the undefeated category leader for almost a decade now.

THE BEST THING ABOUT A PASSIVE D.I. IS FORGETTING THAT IT´S EVEN THERE

The P DI 2 works best with active circuit instruments like keyboards, synths, drum machines, samplers and some guitars and basses, when they are required to be plugged into a PA or recording system. By matching the instrument’s output level to a typical microphone level, converting it to a balanced signal and minimising noise, you can be sure you’ll achieve the strongest, clearest signal possible.

DELIVERING THE NATURAL, CLEAR TONE OF YOUR INSTRUMENT, WITH NO ARTIFACTS ADDED.

Thanks to its passive, power-free design, the P DI 2 converts the impedance from high to low and balances the signal using a magnetic transformer that transfers audio while blocking unwanted DC voltage and RFI. This makes it especially effective at eliminating hum and buzz from ground loops while maintaining the tone of your instrument at every stage.

And as with all Heritage Audio products, you can be rest assured that you are getting a sturdily built, ultra-durable product at a price that is right
