K&K Sound - Pure Piano
The K&K Pure Piano is a passive three-element transducer system built for pianists who need to amplify their acoustic instrument without sacrificing tone. Each transducer is tailored to a specific frequency range — bass, mid, and descant — delivering balanced pickup across the full keyboard and avoiding the brittle hammer attack that plagues single-element systems.
Key Features
- Three independently calibrated transducers: bass, mid, and descant
- Transducer sizes: one 1/2" element and two 3/4" elements
- Only 1/32" tall per element for a discreet, low-profile fit
- Standard 1/4" output jack
- High-ohmic impedance — pairs well with any high-Z preamp
- Fully passive design: no battery, no phantom power needed
- Developed in partnership with Seiler Pianos, Germany
Ideal For
The Pure Piano works on both upright and grand acoustic pianos in live performance, rehearsal, and live recording settings. Its ultra-low transducer profile allows for a clean installation that doesn't alter the instrument, while the passive signal path keeps the chain simple and reliable whether you're running into a DI box, a dedicated preamp, or a mixing console.
