Heritage Audio LANG-SILVERR-47 – LANG Silverr 47 Tube Microphone Preamp

-THE HOLY GRAIL OF VINTAGE TUBE PREAMPS-

LANG ELECTRONICS Inc. and HERITAGE AUDIO are proud to present the SILVERR 47® all tube stereo microphone preamplifier, our take on the unique preamp that served as the foundation for the fresh and furious British Invasion sound that conquered the world in the 60s.

The LANG ELECTRONICS SILVERR 47 cleverly recreates the original design to serve as a stand-alone dual-channel mic preamp that nails the sound palette of one of the most revered preamps of all time.

A rather simple, yet flavourful design that has been adapted to perfection for the needs of modern studios more than 60 years after its creation.

-THOROUGHLY RECREATING THE SOUND THAT DEFINED AN ERA AND SET THE PATH FOR MODERN PROFESSIONAL STUDIO RECORDING-

Yes! We are talking about the iconic tube mic preamp design whose sound permeated every track in the 1960s on a particularly famous street of London, as it was used in almost every step of the recording process, from mic preamplifier, line-receiving input amplifier, EQ section driver, fader gain-stage, output line drivers... you name it!

It also achieved legendary status when certain provocative long-haired musicians plugged their electric guitars directly into these preamps and created a distorted sound that can only be described as revolutionary.

But this legendary design is not just a myth from the 1960s, as its simple yet flexible functionalities have proven to be the secret sauce for many experienced contemporary producers and in almost any musical genre you can imagine (from pop to rock, alternative music, metal, hip hop, and even electronic music) due to its unique warmth and punch when tracking any instrument.

And as a unique Heritage Audio design feature, we have added a NO FEEDBACK gain position, which drastically boosts harmonic distortion to previously unavailable levels, turning the SILVERR 47 into a one of a kind shaping tool.

In order to nail the sound that defined an era, every channel of the SILVERR 47 employs a carefully sourced pair of tubes: a NOS 6AU6 pentode for the input stage and a JJ E88CC for the output, and custom made input and output LANG ELECTRONICS Inc. transformers designed by HERITAGE AUDIO.

-YOU SAY YOU WANT A REVOLUTION?-

Well, you know... LANG ELECTRONICS Inc. has just done it again by releasing one of the most sought-after preamps of all time, in a convenient two-channel form and at a price that would have even been hard to believe in the 1960s... so every studio owner or self-recording artist can justify getting at least one.

The SILVERR 47 is one of the units that falls under the “SOUND THAT DEFINED AN ERA” line that seeks to revive historical units that fit into today’s studios and are either unavailable or too overpriced.
